I like to study psychology material by psychoanalysing myself

If there is one way I deal with life’s more trying moments, it is by directing my emotions towards other people or inanimate objects (translated in Freudian terms as displacement). This afternoon I displaced all of my frustration onto the television and my fondness for a certain gentlemen with a talent for breaking hearts onto a contestant on The Price is Right. It is only natural then that when this contestant got the price right (pun totally intended) and won over $30,000 in prizes that I would abandon the dishes and dance around the kitchen yelling, “Well done Joe! You da man!”

I used to consider myself a well-balanced sort of person in touch with her emotions but now I’m more than positive that I’m a little off balance – like a see-saw with Freud’s brain on one side and my arse on the other.
